If you don`t currently have a training contract, you`ll find on our training centre website a list of organisations offering ACA training: you`ll find a full list of ATE training opportunities, internships and internships via our training position website, on which you can sign up to receive notifications when new job offers are posted. Most students must have a training contract of at least three years (unless you have registered with the AAT-ACA Fast Track Route or if you qualify for a reduction in the duration of a training contract). The duration of a training contract is determined in accordance with the provisions of the ACA and by mutual agreement between the student and the approved employer who must provide the authorized training. The maximum length of time a student can enter into a training agreement is five years, unless the student is trained in a strategic degree or other program offered in partnership with an ICAEW apprenticeship partner. You need to make sure that your employer has confirmed/retroaction of all entries in your training file. Keep in mind that your new employer cannot opt out of the work experience you gained while working with your former employer, so you need to get everything signed before you leave. Therefore, you should always make sure that your registrations are correct and current before considering changing employers. The training agreement is a formally signed document between your organization and each of your students. It relates exclusively to the ACA. In addition to your employment contract, you sign a training contract with your employer that states that it is important that you encourage and follow the development of your students throughout the training contract, not only to ensure that your students receive the training necessary to qualify as an accountant, but to encourage your students to stay with your organization as soon as they are qualified. It is important that you read and understand the training agreement before signing it, as it is a formal agreement.
